Responsibility for the Licensing Act 2003, except for regulated entertainment, was transferred from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) to the Home Office in July 2010. Information on the current regime introduced in 2003 is still available in this section of the DCMS web site. This includes the text of the 2003 Act, regulations, and the Guidance issued to licensing authorities and police officers. There are also forms and guidance for applicants.
