Alternative Family Law is a London law firm specialising in family law, established by solicitor and mediator Andrea Woelke in 2005. Its web site includes information about all aspects of family law, with particular emphasis on alternative approaches to family law and issues relating to same-sex relationships.

Bora Laskin Law Library: Women's Human Rights Resources Programme

A collection of links managed by the Bora Laskin Law Library at the University of Toronto. There are annotated links to articles, conventions, UN reports, NGO reports, case law and legislation (some full text) on women's international human rights law arranged by subject. The site also includes research guides, bibliographies and the Women's Human Rights Resources Database, a database of hundreds of resources including articles, documents and links.

Department for Constitutional Affairs: Transsexual People

This section of the now archived Department for Constitutional Affairs web site is no longer updated. Some of the links (eg to parliamentary debates) are no longer active, but others (eg to legislation and to some background publications) still are. (The government department now responsible for advising on policy on the Gender Recognition Act 2004 is the Ministry of Justice.)

Gender Recognition Panel

The Gender Recognition Panel, established under the Gender Recognition Act 2004, assesses applications from transsexual people who wish to be legally recognised in their acquired gender. Its web site has information, forms, guidance, a list of specialists in the field of gender dysphoria, and links to relevant legislation.

Government Equalities Office

The Government Equalities Office, created in October 2007, is a government policy department responsible for equality strategy and legislation in the UK, including issues relating to women, sexual orientation and transgender equality matters. Documentation on the site includes factsheets, discussion documents, consultations, research reports and press releases.

Ministry of Justice: Gender Recognition

The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) is responsible for advising on policy on the Gender Recognition Act 2004. This section of the MoJ site provides links to the legislation and to relevant web sites. (Some additional background information remains accessible in the Transsexual People section of the now archived Department for Constitutional Affairs site, though many of the links (eg to parliamentary debates) are no longer active.)

Press for Change

Press for Change is a political lobbying and educational organisation which campaigns to achieve equal civil rights and liberties for all transgender people in the United Kingdom. Its "Legal" section features relevant UK legislation and case law from tribunals and courts in the UK, as well as the European Court of Human Rights, concerning gender reassignment.  Also includes a link to the web site of TransEquality, a legal advice service funded by Press for Change and the Equality and Human Rights Commission.
