Civil Litigation Costs Review
Lord Justice Jackson was appointed by the Master of the Rolls in January 2009 to lead a fundamental review of the costs of civil litigation in England and Wales, and to make recommendations. His preliminary report was published 8 May 2009 and his final report 14 January 2010. Both may be downloaded from this section of the Judiciary of England and Wales web site. |

Senior Courts Costs Office
The Senior Courts Costs Office (SCCO) was known before the establishment of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom in 2009 as the Supreme Court Costs Office. This section of Her Majesty's Courts Service's web site includes summaries of SCCO cases 2000 onwards; links to full text SCCO decisions 2001 onwards in the BAILII database; practice directions; the Supreme Court Costs Office Guide 2006; and other guidance documents. |
Thirty Nine Essex Street: Costs Cases Online
The barristers' chambers Thirty Nine Essex Street provides this database of costs cases determined after 1 January 2005 which the compilers believe have value as precedents. Case summaries are provided in both very brief (browsable) and fuller versions. From the case citations in the fuller summaries there are links to the free, limited version of the online legal citator JustCite. There is also a free emailing service for summaries of last month's new cases. |
